2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Lawal States Zimbabwe Will Only Boast but Will Be Defeated by Eagles in Uyo.

Former Nigerian international Dimeji Lawal has stated that the Super Eagles will put an end to Zimbabwe’s boasting during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday. Both teams urgently require three points to enhance their prospects of qualifying for the tournament. Nigeria comes into this match with confidence after a solid 2-0 away win against Rwanda, where Victor Osimhen shone by scoring both goals. This was shared in an interview with Completesports. According to Lawal, the Eagles are prepared to demonstrate their skills on the field at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo. Additionally, it was reported that the NFF plans to distribute 500 jerseys for the match against Zimbabwe. “We are already familiar with the distractions that some teams create whenever they play against Nigeria.” Zimbabwe has been boasting about their victory over the Super Eagles in Uyo. However, the Super Eagles focus on the game rather than boasting like their rivals. I am confident that the Super Eagles will defeat Zimbabwe and secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
