2026 World Cup qualifying match: Super Eagles travel directly to Kigali for their game against Rwanda.  

Players from the Super Eagles will travel straight to Kigali, Rwanda, from their home locations for an important 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Amavubi team. This match will take place at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday, March 21, where the three-time African champions will compete during matchday five. According to DAILY POST, Nigeria is set to begin training in Kigali on Sunday, March 16. It is noteworthy that the Super Eagles previously traveled directly to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, for their last away match against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic. Four days after facing Rwanda, Eric Chelle’s team will host the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. Currently, the Super Eagles have not achieved a victory in the qualifiers, having recorded three draws and one loss.
