2027: PDP, ADC, others cannot stop Tinubu’s re-election – APC chieftain, Yusuf

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Dr Gbolahan Yusuf, has declared that none of the opposition political parties in the country has the capacity to stop the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

He made this declaration on Saturday in Ibadan during the launch of Presidential Coalition Committee and political sensitisation programme organised by a chieftain of the party in Oyo State, Hon. Ayotunde Nurudeen Bakare.

DAILY POST reports that the event was was attended by APC chieftains from Lagos, Oyo and other states among whom are members of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Shittu Ibrahim and Hon. Musbau Azeez, Alhaji Mufutau Adisa Gbayawu, Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi, Hon. Alli, Mrs Abegbo Lawal, Madam Isijola, Hon. Akeem Bamgbola, Hon. Tunde Williams and Hon. Femi Afikuyomi.

Yusuf, while addressing the journalists at the event, insisted that there is no political party in the country today that has the capacity to defeat APC in 2027.

The APC chieftain, who acknowledged that Tinubu’s reforms have brought discomfort to many Nigerians, however, declared that those reforms are necessary in order to rebuild the economy.

He said, “It is easy to destroy things, but reform takes time. What we are going through now is a rebuilding process. Nigerians must endure now so that we can prosper later. Better days are ahead.

“My message to our members is to believe that good times are coming back again. President Tinubu will make Nigerians happy. We should endure with him and support the process. There is no other political party in Nigeria today with the capacity of the APC. That is why many opposition figures are joining us”.

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon James Abiodun Faleke who was represented by Hon. Abiodun Mafe, advised Nigerians to guard their Permanent Voter’s Cards against theft and other criminal activities.

Faleke, who doubles as National Coordinator of the council, noted that this was necessary in order to avoid any form of disappointment that can prevent them from voting during the 2027 general elections.

He advised them to guard their PVCs against theft and other criminal activities as he enjoined those who are yet to get their PVCs to do so within the time frame.

Faleke said, “Party members should not entertain any fears as APC would become victorious at both the national level and Oyo State. I urge party members and all Nigerians to keep their Permanent Voter’s Card safe, guard them against theft while those without PVCs should go and register for it”.
