On this 4th of April, our dear Senegal celebrates 65 years of independence, 65 years of a dignity recovered and of an incessant quest towards a full and complete sovereignty. On this memorable day, I pay a heartfelt tribute to our valiant Defence and Security Forces, guarantors of our stability and national integrity. I also address a strong thought to our young people, courageous and determined, who embody the energy and hope of a Senegal in full transformation. This celebration of independence is much more than a simple commemoration: it is a symbol of unity, a moment of memory and a renewed commitment to our nation. Together, united by the values of justice, solidarity and work, let us build a sovereign, equitable and prosperous Senegal. Happy Independence Day to all of you! Long live the Republic!
