The new Arsenal midfielder, Martin Zubimendi, will don the number. Martin Zubimendi has officially been unveiled as an Arsenal player wearing the number 36 shirt, a development confirmed on Sunday. He becomes the second signing of the summer for manager Mikel Arteta, following Kepa Arrizabalaga’s move from Chelsea. Arsenal has agreed to pay Real Sociedad €65 million for the Spanish international. “Zubimendi is a player who will add tremendous quality and football intelligence to our team,” Arteta stated. “He will integrate very well into our system and possesses all the qualities needed to be a pivotal player for us. The level he has consistently reached over the past few seasons with both his club and the national team is exactly why we are thrilled to have him on board.” Zubimendi is largely regarded as the successor to Jorginho, who joined Flamengo as a free agent this summer.
