Amorim prohibits five Manchester United players from participating in preseason.

Rúben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has instructed five players to refrain from attending the Carrington training facility as the team begins pre-season preparations. According to The Telegraph (UK), the players affected include Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia. Amorim has directed these players not to join the rest of the squad, as they are likely to leave Old Trafford soon. Most of them had spent the last season on loan, with Antony, Sancho, and Malacia playing for Real Betis, Chelsea, and PSV, respectively, while Rashford was on loan at Aston Villa starting in January. Although Garnacho remained at United during the past season, he seems to no longer be part of the club’s plans under the new management. Amorim has already brought Matheus Cunha from Wolves into the team and is reportedly looking to sign Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo as part of his squad overhaul.
