WAFCON 2024: Kundananji announces Zambia’s preparedness for the match against the Super Falcons.

Zambia forward Rachel Kundananji has expressed the team’s preparedness to face off against Nigeria’s Super Falcons, as reported by DAILY POST. The Copper Queens secured second place in Group A and are set to compete against Group B leaders Nigeria in the quarter-finals at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Friday. Under the guidance of coach Nora Häuptle, the team has showcased an impressive attacking style during the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, remaining unbeaten with two victories and one draw. Kundananji, who plays for Bay FC in the NWSL, has netted three goals for Zambia and has received two Woman of the Match honors. As they approach the match against Nigeria, the talented striker stated they hold no fear in facing the nine-time champions. “We aimed to finish at the top of the group, but we fell short in scoring enough goals.” Kundananji mentioned to FAZ Media, “We’re not concerned about our current standing; our attention is directed towards the larger objective.”
