The Super Falcons dominated Zambia with a 5-0 victory in the quarter-finals of WAFCON.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons delivered a 5-0 victory over Zambia’s Copper Queens in the quarter-final of the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations at Stade Larbi Zaouli.

The win secured Nigeria’s place in the semi-finals of the tournament hosted in Morocco.

The Super Falcons struck early, with Osinachi Ohale scoring in the 2nd minute.

Esther Okoronkwo doubled the lead in the 33rd minute, followed by Chinwendu Ihezuo’s goal in the 45th minute, making it 3-0 at halftime.

Tosin Demehin added a fourth in the 68th minute, heading in a free kick from Okoronkwo, while Folashade Ijamilusi sealed the rout with a goal in the 91st minute.

Nigeria’s defense, led by Ashleigh Plumptre, maintained a clean sheet, preventing Zambia’s key attackers, Barbra Banda and Racheal Kundananji, from scoring.

The Super Falcons dominated possession and created numerous chances, with Okoronkwo and Ihezuo each contributing significantly to the attack.
