​WAFCON 2024: Everton Commends Payne and Her Super Falcons Teammates Following Their 5-0 Victory Over Zambia.    

 

The Everton women’s team has extended their congratulations to their Nigerian player Toni Payne and the Super Falcons after their impressive 5-0 victory against Zambia in the WAFCON quarter-finals on Friday. Although Payne was not on the field, the Super Falcons dominated the Copper Queens in her absence. Goals from Osinachi Ohale, Esther Okoronkwo, Chiwendu Ihezuo, Tosin Demehin, and Folashade Ijamilusi led the team into the semi-finals. The next challenge for Payne and her Super Falcons teammates is a semi-final match against either South Africa or Senegal. In the other quarter-final on Friday, the host team, Morocco, triumphed over Senegal with a score of 3-1.
