The Chief of Inter Milan has confirmed the club’s interest in acquiring Lookman.

Piero Ausilio, the director of Inter Milan, has acknowledged the club’s interest in Ademola Lookman, the winger from Atalanta, according to Completesports. The Nerazzurri are reportedly considering a transfer for the Nigerian international. Ausilio stated that they are in talks with Atalanta regarding a potential signing of Lookman. “We maintain a strong friendship and mutual respect with Atalanta,” Ausilio said, according to Mediaset. Additionally, Lookman has recently sustained a calf injury amidst the speculation linking him to Inter Milan. “I can verify that we had a conversation and conveyed our expectations to Atalanta.” We have a strong interest in Lookman and want to acquire him, but he currently belongs to Atalanta, and we need to reach a deal; we cannot engage in endless negotiations. “Clearly, we have demonstrated a preference for this player, and we hope that our offer will be viewed as acceptable.” The important thing is what Atalanta intends to accomplish. He is our top choice, but if we can’t secure Lookman, we will pursue other options. Atalanta has turned down a €40 million offer from Inter Milan for the winger. La Dea is looking for around €50 million instead. – By Adeboye Amosu
