In an official communiqué published on Friday, the Special Division for the Fight against Cybercrime (DSC) announced the arrest of an individual known under the pseudonym ” Kocc Barma “, suspected of being at the heart of a vast network for the dissemination of obscene content on social networks. The operation was conducted in the framework of the cyber surveillance missions entrusted to the DSC. It follows numerous complaints lodged by Internet users, victims of increasingly worrying practices: theft of personal data, threats, blackmail, extortion of funds often on the basis of videos or intimate exchanges subtilised or obtained in a fraudulent manner. “Technical investigations have made it possible to locate the suspect at his family home in Liberté III”, the police said.
