Manchester United is planning to make a move for a star player from Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United is looking to acquire Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani, as a Spanish report outlines the terms of Marcus Rashford’s loan to Barcelona. After a disappointing 2024/25 season where United finished 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur, the club has been proactive in the summer transfer market. They have already signed Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million and reached an agreement with Brentford for Cameroonian winger Bryan Mbeumo worth £70 million. The next priority for the Premier League club is to secure a striker, with TEAMtalk’s transfer expert, Fraser Fletcher, indicating on Friday that they are ramping up their interest in RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. According to sources for TEAMtalk, Sesko’s agents and Manchester United have maintained frequent communication. The Slovenian striker is receptive to a transfer to Old Trafford, even though the Red Devils will not compete in European tournaments next season. Additionally, Kolo Muani failed to convert a late chance in the match against Argentina, a missed opportunity that could have secured the 2022 World Cup for France. It appears that Manchester United is diversifying their targets, as reports from France suggest that Kolo Muani has become a key focus for the club. FootMercato indicates that Newcastle United is also interested in Muani, and both clubs have started discussions. Juventus, meanwhile, is making efforts to persuade the French striker to extend his loan from PSG, which began in the latter half of last season. Additionally, there are claims that United may try to interfere with Arsenal’s attempt to sign Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres. Although Gyokeres, a standout player for Sporting Lisbon, has been linked to Arsenal, the move has not yet been finalized, providing United with an opportunity to make their own offer.
