According to the evidence gathered by L’Observateur, Pathé Baldé, visibly under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest, fell asleep almost immediately after being placed in custody. It was only at the end of the evening, once he was discouraged and had regained his senses, that he was finally heard. Before the investigators, Pathé adopted an attitude of total closure. He denied en bloc all the alleged facts, contesting as well the accusations of violence against the police as those related to drug trafficking. Little eloquent, he refused to go into details, opposing a firm refusal to any attempt to make him confess.
