Antsino Twanyanyukwa from Namibia has been appointed as the referee for the final match of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, featuring Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses and Nigeria’s Super Falcons. Twanyanyukwa will make history as the first Namibian to officiate a WAFCON final. Assisting her will be Rwanda’s Alice Umutesi as the first assistant referee and Senegal’s Tabara Mboji as the second assistant referee. The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team, led by Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga, will also include Letticia Viana from Eswatini and Zambia’s Diana Chikotesha. The final is set to take place at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat this Saturday. It will start at 9 PM Nigerian time.
