WAFCON 2024: Madugu Praises Super Falcons for Their Win Against Morocco

Justine Madugu, the head coach of the Super Falcons, has commended his team for their remarkable comeback win against Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses. In the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Saturday night, Madugu’s team was down 2-0 at halftime but managed to turn the game around and secure a 3-2 victory in the second half. The coach emphasized the impressive mental strength displayed by his players to clinch this exciting match. In related news, Okoronkwo expressed his joy at being a champion following the Super Falcons’ success over Morocco. “Without their mental toughness, they would have quit,” Madugu stated following the game. “However, they maintained their belief and secured this win.” Madugu suggested that the halftime discussion was key to his team’s impressive turnaround. “We had quite a conversation at halftime,” the 61-year-old stated. “We had a strategy in place, but the things we aimed to prevent resulted in two goals scored against us, which necessitated the adjustments we implemented.” Written by Adeboye Amosu
