Chelsea have agreed a £43.7 million deal to offload out-of-favour forward Joao Felix to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
Felix, who joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid in a £38.4 million move, struggled to impress during his time in London.
After a disappointing loan spell at AC Milan in the second half of the 2024–25 season, the Portugal international is now set to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, following Benfica’s failure to meet Chelsea’s valuation.
Felix featured in just 12 Premier League matches last season, scoring only once, and had long been earmarked for an exit.
His departure will provide a crucial financial boost as Chelsea aim to balance their books amid UEFA’s financial regulations, having already spent £169 million on new signings this summer.
The fire sale may not end there. Nicolas Jackson has attracted interest from Manchester United, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, signed from Leicester for £30 million, is now a loan target for Fulham, with a potential permanent deal in the works.
Meanwhile, Renato Veiga is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid. The Spanish side are attempting to negotiate Chelsea’s £35 million asking price down to £25 million.
The Portuguese midfielder, who joined from Basel for £11.7 million and featured 18 times last season, has expressed a desire to leave.
Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell are also exploring exit options as Chelsea look to streamline a bloated squad and comply with UEFA’s registration demands for Champions League participation.
