The former director of the Cadastre Bureau of Guédiawaye, Habib Niang, was released this Tuesday at around 5 pm, following an amicable agreement. He had been placed in custody by the Division of Criminal Investigations (DIC) in the context of an alleged case of property fraud, involving the sale of a fictitious land, reports Dakaractu. A refund had been announced by the ex-directeur, but it had been deemed insufficient to avoid his maintien en garde à vue. However, an amicable agreement was finally reached only a few hours after his detention at the DIC, leading to his release.
