The verdict has been reached in the case involving Moustapha Diakhaté et Bachir Fofana. Le journaliste chroniqueur Bachir Serigne Cheikh Sarr Fofana was found guilty of disseminating false news, ce 30 juillet 2025 by the tribunal des flagrants délits de Dakar. He was given a two-month suspended prison sentence. During a television broadcast, the journalist had affirmed that Cheikh Guéye was l’attributaire du marché d’achat de véhicules de l’Assemblée nationale. Or, cette déclaration a été jugée mensongère, d’autant plus que Cheikh Guéye is implicated in a corruption case involving the former Minister of Justice, Ismaïla Madior Fall. The former parliamentarian, Moustapha Diakhaté, was sentenced to two months in prison, of which 15 days were suspended.
