After several years of union mobilization, the workers of Cements du Sahel have won the case. The management of the company announced on Thursday 31 July that the elections of the personnel delegates will be held on 23 August 2025. I’m not sure. The news was welcomed by Guy Marius Sagna, MP and member of the FRAPP (Front for a Popular and Pan-African Anti-Imperialist Revolution), who recalled the scale of the struggle. “I had said on Monday 28 July that the elections would be organised before 2026. “Mobilisation and determination have accelerated things”, he declared.
