Big Boost –Lamina Responds to Galatasaray’s Signing of Osimhen

Galatasaray player Mario Lemina believes that the acquisition of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen will greatly benefit the team. Osimhen has finalized his permanent transfer to Galatasaray in a €75 million deal, marking the highest transfer fee ever in Turkish football. This transfer surpassed the previous record, which was held by Fenerbahce when they signed Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla for $23 million (or 20 million euros) on a five-year contract last July. Reports suggest that Osimhen’s contract includes a 10% sell-on clause and bonuses based on his goal-scoring performance. Additionally, there are updates regarding AfroBasket 2025, where coach Wakama asserts that Senegal will not hinder D’Tigress’ pursuit of the title. The 26-year-old Super Eagles player previously had a productive loan period at the Istanbul club, netting 37 goals in 41 matches and aiding Galatasaray in securing the league championship. His significant contribution made him popular among fans, who greeted him in large crowds at Atatürk Airport upon his arrival. Commenting on this news, Lamina expressed through his official Instagram account that Osimhen’s return is a significant boost for the team, saying, “Huge one ahead my brother!”
