A former aide to Ganduje has stated that APC’s strategies to divide the ADC will be unsuccessful, asserting that there is no space for infiltrators.

Salihu Tanko Yakasai, a former spokesman for ex-National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has asserted that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) cannot be divided into factions. He responded to claims made by Nafi’u Bala, the former national deputy chairman of ADC, who announced himself as the party’s Interim National Chairman. Bala, who previously ran for governor in Gombe State on an ADC ticket, justified his new role based on his past position. During a press conference in Abuja, he accused the leadership under David Mark of illegally taking control of the party and violating its constitutional rules. In his response, Yakasai emphasized that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would only engage with the rightful National Secretary and Chairman of ADC, and assured that these roles are not filled by individuals associated with the APC. On social media platform X, Yakasai stated, “Any attempts by APC to split ADC will fail. INEC only interacts with recognized leaders of a political party, and luckily for our coalition, neither position is held by an APC infiltrator, which is not the case for PDP, LP, and others.”
