Security personnel in Zamfara have successfully freed the family members of the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Mohammed Abubakar Nakwada, who had been kidnapped on July 27. This was announced on Sunday by security analyst Zagazola Makama through a post on his X account. The report indicates that the rescued individuals, Sadiya Nakwada, Aisha Nakwada, and Abubakar Dan Fulani, were liberated during a collaborative operation involving tactical teams from the Zamfara State Police Command and the Special Tactical Squad (FID-STS) from the Force Headquarters in Abuja. Additionally, five individuals were apprehended in connection with the kidnapping. The individuals identified as Hamza Umar, Abubakar Abdullahi, Aisha Umar, Mohammed Ibrahim, and Igeh Mohammed are all from the Mareri neighborhood in Damba District, within the Gusau Local Government Area. According to reports, the rescued individuals have been transported to a hospital in Gusau for treatment and will soon be reunited with their families.
