Mamadou Sow, also known as Mama Laye, died in tragic circumstances. This 41-year-old egg seller succumbed to his injuries in hospital after receiving a knife wound to the neck during an assault perpetrated by four men. The tragedy occurred this Sunday morning, shortly after 7 o’clock, at Pikine Texaco. The victim had just arrived at his place of work. Arrested by his assailants, Mama Laye put up a fierce resistance to the perpetrators, who tried to rob him of his sack containing 900 000 CFA francs. Faced with the difficulty of achieving their objective, one of the thieves takes out his knife and places it on the merchant’s neck. While the latter is tortillas of pain, the villains pick up his phone and fondent dans la nature.. According to Les Échos, which has played the film of aggression in its edition of this Monday, Mama Laye was abandoned bathing in her blood.
