The Senegalese Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, left Turkey this Monday morning, at the end of a several-day official visit marked by a notable strengthening of bilateral ties. During his stay, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko was received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, with whom he signed several strategic agreements aimed at deepening cooperation in the economic, industrial, educational and security fields. The departure ceremony took place in Ankara, where President Erdoğan personally accompanied the head of the Senegalese government, underlining the quality of relations between Dakar and Ankara. According to both parties, the agreements concluded should open up new investment and trade prospects, thus consolidating a partnership described as “mutually beneficial”.
