Chadian forces killed Boko Haram attackers who had invaded the presidential palace.

Several Boko Haram fighters who attacked Chad’s presidential palace in N’Djamena on Wednesday have been neutralized by the country’s Directorate General of Security Services and Internal Exile (DGSSIE). Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama confirmed the deaths, stating that intelligence sources indicated Chadian security forces quickly contained the assault and that the situation is now stable. A video shared on social media shows the terrorist group being fired upon by responding forces, with several attackers also apprehended. Makama remarked that “the DGSSIE effectively neutralized the threat, ensuring the safety of government institutions and key personnel.” The publication highlighted that Chadian officials have not released information regarding the casualties. There are indications that some of the assailants were taken alive, which could offer important insights for upcoming missions. In recent days, security has been intensified, and the government has shut down networks to avert any potential security threats.
