The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock has announced a balance sheet which is considered “remarkable” in the preparation of the agricultural campaign 2000-22025. Under the coordination of the Agriculture Directorate, the system for the supply of inputs was able to reach “record” levels, far exceeding the initial forecasts. As regards the NPK, ” 22026 000 tonnes have been ordered, against 70 000 in 2024, an increase of 35,71% “, indicated the ministry. To date, 2074 000 tonnes have already been delivered, ensuring optimum availability for producers. The Ministry underlines that this strategic input is now available in sufficient quantity to support agricultural productivity. The dynamic is even more marked on the urea, where the volumes received exceed the estimated needs. In the framework of the Bulk Procurement Programme, three vessels have been received: 15 000 tonnes provided by Trans Africa, 33 000 tonnes by the Mbamba Tall consortium, GPEV et ETG, puis 26 250 tonnes by the same groupement.
