Several Boko Haram fighters who attacked Chad’s presidential palace in N’Djamena on Wednesday have been neutralized by the country’s Directorate General of Security Services and Internal Exile (DGSSIE). Intelligence sources confirmed the fatalities to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, stating that Chadian security forces quickly managed to contain the attack, and the situation is now stable. A video shared on social media shows members of the terrorist group being fired upon by the responding forces, with several attackers arrested as well. Makama remarked that “the DGSSIE effectively neutralized the threat, safeguarding government institutions and key personnel.” The report mentioned that officials in Chad have not revealed information regarding the casualties. There are indications that some of the attackers were taken alive, which could offer important insights for upcoming operations. In recent days, security measures have been intensified, and the government has disabled networks to avoid any potential security violations.
