Le présumé meurtrier de Fallou Sène, who has been on the run since 4 August, was apprehended in Goudomp by the elements of the Ziguinchor search brigade. This interpellation ended several weeks of tracking, following the tragedy at the HLM market in Dakar. The facts go back to an altercation between two young people, during which the dispute had degenerated. One of the protagonists had pulled out an arm and mortally stabbed Fallou Sène. Despite the rapid intervention of the rescuers, the victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Since that day, the presumed author had vanished, triggering a vast manhunt. His arrest at Goudomp constitutes a major breakthrough in the dossier. Reacting to this news on Rfm, the uncle of the deceased welcomed the arrest but called on justice to go further by also prosecuting all persons likely to have helped the suspect to escape the authorities.
