Babacar Ba, president of the Forum du justiciable, spoke on the convocation of Bougar Diouf, president of the Union des Panafricanistes Sénégalais (UPS), to the special division of cybersecurity, this Friday morning. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), M. I think that’s a good idea. Diouf, the object of his convocation, “de dangereux et d’indéfendables”.. “The statements made by Bougar Diouf and which earned him a summons to the cybercrime division are dangerous and indefensible. We cannot, under the pretext of freedom of expression, allow ourselves to surf over fibres as sensitive as the Casamance conflict and the army”, he wrote. He continued, recalling the principle of the forum du justiciable: “Just as we firmly defend freedom of expression, so we must beware of language gaps that can undermine national cohesion”. For the record, Bougar Diouf is summoned this Friday to the Division de la cybersécurité (Dsc). His convocation follows his controversial statements on the Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and the rebellion in Casamance.
