Lawmaker Tsanyawa asserts that the APC will regain control over its key area of Shanono/Bagwai.

Sani Bala Tsanyawa, a lawmaker from the Tsanyawa, Ghari Federal Constituency and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that the party is determined to regain the Shanono and Bagwai House of Assembly seats, which were lost to the NNPP in the recent rerun election. Speaking in Kano on Friday, he argued that claims of the APC losing its stronghold are unfounded, attributing the election results to significant rigging that did not conform to proper electoral standards. Tsanyawa emphasized that historically, the APC has always maintained dominance in Shanono, Bagwai, and his own Tsanyawa, Ghari Constituents, as the entire Kano North region is a stronghold for the party. He expressed confidence that the APC would eventually reclaim its victories in those areas, citing the last election as a disreputable event that will not endure. He also noted that across the nation, the APC is recovering its status as a dominant political force, thanks in part to President Tinubu’s efforts in revitalizing the economy and enhancing social welfare.
