President Tinubu promotes ADC  

President Bola Tinubu has elevated his Aide-de-Camp, Lieutenant Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf, to the rank of Colonel. The promotion occurred on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, with attendance from Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Yusuf’s wife, and other notable guests. Lt. Col. Yusuf was named ADC to President Tinubu in April 2023, just before the president’s inauguration on May 29, 2023. His military education includes a broad range of training and education. After finishing his Ordinary National Diploma in Computer Science at Offa Polytechnic, he enrolled in the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna in 2000 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Electrical-Electronics Engineering. In 2004, he went to the United Kingdom for the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned into the Nigerian Army Officers Cadre. In 2023, he underwent advanced military training at the Nigerian Army Intelligence School in Lagos, focusing on intelligence and security. In 2007, he participated in the Young Officer’s Course in Infantry in Kaduna and completed the Tactical Intelligence Officers and Security Investigations courses in 2008. From 2009 to 2018, he took part in various international military courses in Mali, Pakistan, China, Israel, and the United Kingdom. He earned a Master’s degree in Defence Studies from King’s College London in 2018. During his military career, Yusuf has taken on several important roles. He held the position of Officer-in-Charge (Technical) for the 119 Intelligence Group in Lagos before moving to the 4 Brigade HQ in Benin as Operations Officer.
