A methodically planned traque, an arrest without resistance, a nocturnal exfiltration worthy of a spy film. This is how the scenario of the operation carried out by the Ziguinchor Research Section (SR) against Hamidou Djiba, self-proclaimed spokesman of the Mouvement des forces démocratiques de la Casamance (MFDC/Mangoucourou), could be summarized. According to exclusive revelations from L’Observateur, the coup de filet, stamped “highly sensitive”, was executed with surgical precision. A directive from above. It all began with a firm instruction sent to the gendarmerie’s high command: proceed without a hitch to the arrest of Hamidou Djiba, accused of holding propositions deemed hostile to the Republic. The mission, entrusted to the SR de Ziguinchor, renowned for its delicate interventions in difficult terrain, had to follow a clear protocol: infiltration, arrest, then transfer express to Dakar. The ambush was discovered.
