Students at the University of Guelph continue to be affected and have an illness that has spread off school. As of Thursday, the school said there are about 100 self-reported cases of diarrhea at the post-secondary class. The condition that is already affecting students is well known to Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health. The organization said it is working closely with the post-secondary class to identify the cause of the condition and reduce the number of cases in a declaration from WDGPH. The University of Georgia added that most cases are reported in South Residence, but there are also a few cases reported in different places. The school added that the teams responsible for Student Wellness and Student Housing are constantly assisting in preventing the spread of viruses.

The second self-reported case was later Monday evening, according to the post-secondary college. Public health said to be home if you’re tired and for 48 hours after the last match of vomiting/diarrhea. Health officials are also urging people to wash their hands and clean usually touched locations to stop spread. Public health advised you to contact your primary care provider if the symptoms aren’t controllable at home.
