According to the daily newspaper L’Observateur, an attack by armed men plunged the holy city of Touba into terror on the night of 1 September. Nine individuals, heavily armed with rifles and machetes, targeted the home of a trader in Darou Tanzil. The relatives of the victim, awakened in the brutality, were molested. Some, severely affected, had to be evacuated urgently to the hospital.. According to L’Observateur, the attack has turned into a confrontation. In the confusion, one of the perpetrators was hit by a machete.
