La tension monte in the rural commune of Dialambéré, department of Kolda (south). The local herders denounce the “suspicious” death of cattle which they attribute to the use of toxic products by some farmers. At Saré Gawlo, the desarroi is palpable. Souleymane Mballo, a breeder, claims to have lost three (3) cows in mysterious circumstances. “Two had left calves and the third was in advanced gestation”, he confided with bitterness. A heavy loss of consequences for this man, whose livestock constitutes the principal source of income and family subsistence. Faced with this situation, the Maison des éleveurs de Dialambéré decided to react.
