Over 1,700 Saskatchewan nurses participated in a survey conducted by the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses ( SUN) that included questions relating to their plans to leave the job and what their current working conditions entail. According to the survey, 53 % of nurses have thought about leaving their jobs within the past year. Additionally, 82 % of respondents said they would not tolerate patients who were deemed to be at risk due to limited staffing. SUN claims that in addition to increasing enrollment numbers, it needs to concentrate on retention work. In the movie above, Kathy Ludwig provides all the necessary information.
