Serigne Mansour Sy Djamil, co-president of the World Council of Religions for Peace, an organisation affiliated to the United Nations, takes part in the UN General Assembly which takes place from 20 to 24 September 2025 in New York. Invited by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as a panelist, Serigne Mansour Sy Djamil will speak on the theme: “The vision of Islam in the face of the social disturbances currently noted in the world”. This prestigious international meeting brings together leaders and decision-makers from around the world to reflect and debate on the general theme “Unity in Diversity”. The discussions will focus on major issues such as peace, climate, inequalities, the governance of artificial intelligence and human rights. The participation of Serigne Mansour Sy Djamil underlines the importance of religious perspectives in global debates and the promotion of social cohesion and world peace.
