According to the director of Kewoulo, Babacar Touré, the journalist and director general of the Avenir Communication group, Madiambal Diagne, was summoned this Wednesday at 12 hours in the premises of the Division of Criminal Investigations (DIC). This call is part of an inquiry into a financial dossier estimated at more than 21 billion CFA francs. M. and Touré rappelle qu’en début de semaine, M. This is the first time I’ve seen you. Diagne had been briefly intercepted at the international airport Blaise Diagne (AIBD) while he was preparing to embark for Paris. After verification, he had been notified to appear before the investigators. However, at the scheduled time for his hearing, the journalist did not show up. Sources close to the investigation indicate that DIC agents went to his home to escort him, but they did not find him and his phones remained unreachable. In this context, the DIC questioned his wife, Mabintou Diaby, cited in the file as a presumed manager of a company mentioned in the report of the National Financial Information Processing Unit (CENTIF). Toujours selon Babacar Touré, their son Mouhamed Diagne was arrested ce jeudi au niveau de la frontière de Karang while he was trying to leave the country. He is accused of having transferred money to the accounts of his wife and son.
