The prefect of the department of Kaolack (centre), Latyr Ndiaye, announced on Monday that he intends to proceed, on 18 October next, to the dismantling of the undertakings of the Route nationale n°1 (RN1) and the RN4 being the object of irregular occupation. ‘The prefect of the department of Kaolack informs the population of the commune of Kaolack that, as from 18 October, the undertakings on the RN1 and RN4 which are occupied illegally will be decommissioned'”, the administrative authority said in a note to the APS. The operations will concern the forms of occupation and installation, particularly the overflowing of canteens of more than one meter, carpentry workshops, points of sale of construction materials, advertising boards not conforming, motorcycle stops “Jakarta”, wrecks of vehicles and other objects encumbering the public road, explains the text. The Head of the Departmental Executive appeals to the populations concerned for understanding and invites them to take all the necessary measures to free, in time, the targeted enterprises”.
