The delarvage and spraying operations under the “Hivernage Zéro Paludisme” programme started this Tuesday 14 October 2025 from midnight in the département de Pikine. This initiative is jointly led by the deputies of the Pikine department, the Ministry of Family, Social Action and Solidarity, through the Fonds de Solidarité nationale (FSN), and the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, through the National Programme de Lutte contre le Malaria (PNLP). Officially launched on 30 September last in Sicap Mbao, this campaign aims to strengthen the fight against malaria during the winter season, through targeted community actions of prevention and sanitation. The FSN and the PNLP call on the populations to cooperate fully with the teams deployed on the ground and to adopt the best gestures to guarantee the success of the operation.
