The Tribunal de Grande Instance Hors Classe de Dakar delivered its judgment on Friday 17 October 2025 in the case between Ms Adama Diop and the Délégation générale à l’Entrepreneuriat Rapide des Femmes et des Jeunes (DER-FJ). Found guilty of defamation and dissemination of false information, Ms Diop was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment with suspended sentence. The Tribunal also found the constitution de partie civile of the DER-FJ admissible, awarding it a symbolic franc as compensation.
