Following the publication of a controversial article relating to an alleged incident at the Palais de la République, Bentaleb Sow, adviser to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, decided to come out of his silence to provide clarifications. In a text on his platforms, he denounces a “construction of all parts” and recalls his commitment to serve the State with loyalty and exemplarity. “This text, full of inaccuracies and counter-truths, has lent me proposals that I have never had and a behavior that could not be attributed to me”, he explained. “Everything is invented, constructed of all parts, and I am unfortunately not the first to make the cost”. “The facts, the truths, are very simple: a police motorist, not assigned to this sector and supposed to ensure the escort of a member of the government, attempted to question me with unjustified brusquerie, forbidding me a passage that, in reality, was not at all”, he relates. “I answered him calmly, but with the firmness that the defense of the right requires. There was no slander, no outrage, no refusal to comply. I’m not sure. Bentaleb Sow affirms that he has never used his position to impose himself: “I want to make it clear that I have never used my position to impose anything.
