Senegal has recorded three new deaths due to Rift Valley fever (RVF) in the space of 24 hours. According to the Libération count, the country now has 25 deaths out of 287 confirmed cases, of which 226 have recovered and 61 are still active. No new region has been affected, the disease remaining concentrated in six zones: Saint-Louis (244 cases), Matam (13), Louga (16), Fatick (9), Dakar (2) et Kaolack (3), where a new case has been recorded. Since the appearance of the first case in Saint-Louis, the situation remains under close surveillance by the health authorities.
