The Ottawa Food Bank says it will cut back on the meal it provides to programs in its system as a result of rising costs and growing demand for its services. The food company’s CEO Rachael Wilson says 98 courses will get between 20 and 50 per cent less food than they have in previous years. Due to rising costs, Wilson positioned the shift as necessary because the business is unable to obtain the same amount of foods as before. She goes on to say that Ottawa’s food banks consumption is at an all-time high thanks to an increase in trips to the organization of more than 90 % since 2019. Trending Then

She estimates that 40 % of the system of food banks in her organization turned people away from them on a regular basis last year because of power. The Bantree Street inventory at the Ottawa Food Bank receives more than 4.4 million kg of food each month, according to a report from the organization that receives 556, 000 help visits each season. hamps
