The prefect of Dakar authorised the march organised by the opposition organisations, gathered around the Front for the Defence of Democracy and the Republic (FDR). However, the administrative authority has imposed a modification of the itinerary. Initially, the march was to extend from the avenue Khalifa Ababacar Sy until the terminus de Liberté 5. However, the route chosen by the prefect forced the protesters to start from Score Liberté 1 at 15 heures to end at Rond-point Jet d’eau, at 18 heures.
