Despite the criticisms of some Pastef officials, Dr Abdourahmane Diouf, Minister of the Environment and leader of the Awalé party, remains right in his boots. In the margins of the celebration of the four years of his party, held this Sunday at the CICES, he reaffirmed his position and his appeal for appeasement. “I appeal to consensus, to pardon and to concord”, he said, assuming his freedom of thought. Refusing to give in to the controversy, the minister believes that a country cannot be built on hatred, revenge and lies. An outing that has sparked vivid reactions on social media. Shared reactions on the networks. On line, the opinions differ.. Some netizens think that the minister would prepare his exit from the government seeking to position himself as a future opponent. Others, on the contrary, salute the courage and wisdom of Dr Diouf, believing that he has done nothing but recall a universal truth: the greatest wealth of a people resides in its unity. The support of President Diomaye Faye. The Minister of Environment also expressed his gratitude to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye who, according to him, showed his confidence by sending Minister-Counsellor Aldiouma Sow to represent him at the ceremony. “As moy Diomaye, Diomaye moy As”, he launched with a smile, reprenant in his way the famous slogan of the patriots “Sonko moy Diomaye, Diomaye moy Sonko”.. A way for the leader of Awalé to reaffirm his loyalty to the head of state while claiming his independence of spirit.
