L’Alliance pour la République (APR) is a new recruit from the party. This is Mamadou Dièye, commonly called “captain Dieye”. “I would like to announce to the Senegalese people that I have decided to join President Macky Sall and the Alliance for the Republic (APR). I am therefore at present a member of the APR and I will certainly give more explanations on this decision very soon”, he said in a brief announcement on 7tv. M. and Dièye was until then the leader of the Nit movement.
