L’Administration des Douanes has celebrated, this Thursday 06 November 2025, at the CICES, the exit of the 40ème Promotion de l’École des Douanes. The ceremony was presided over by the Directeur de Cabinet du Ministre des Finances et du Budget, Mr Bassirou SARR. This promotion is sponsored by Lieutenant des Douanes Ibrahima Khalilou GUEYE, former surveillant général de l’École des Douanes, who died in 2021. The event brought together the top management of the Directorate-General for Customs, the Director-General Babacar MBAYE and several other Directors, Division Heads and Heads of Customs Service. The latter was represented by the Commissaire des Douanes de la Gambie Alhagie MBAYE. The Head of the Bureau of Recruitment and Initial Training, Lieutenant-Colonel Papa Mamadou AMAR, in his customary address, recalled the role of the École des Douanes in the training and perfectionment of personnel, retraced the parrain’s illustrious trajectory, while inviting the recipients “to embody the values of rigor, integrity and justice, to remain solidaries, respect “True to their superiors but strict and benevolent towards the users of the service”.
