L’instruction de l’affaire Prodac has been given a new twist. According to the newspaper Libération, the financial prosecutor’s office has asked the judge to charge and place under arrest the former coordinator of the Programme des Domaines agricoles communautaires (Prodac), Pape Malick Ndour, who was questioned by the Division des enquêtes criminelles (DIC). This request is motivated by payments estimated at 2.702 million ECU. 920.292 FCFA, made on the basis of proforma invoices in favour of the société israélienne Green 2000, whose directors had allegedly taken the leak. The prosecution also requests the same measure of detention against Khadim Ba, already incarcerated in the framework of this case. Moreover, it seeks the separate indictment of the Director-General of Locafrique in respect of a second contested payment, in the amount of 16.854.
