Since 31 December 2021, the inhabitants of Ndoyène Deni Youssou, a village in the commune of Diamniadio (Senegal), have been living a real ordeal due to phenomena they attribute to a supernatural spirit (identified by some as a djinn). The village is plagued by a series of terrifying and unexplained events that have profoundly disturbed the lives of the residents for more than three years: unexplained jets of stones; sudden fires ravaging the property of the inhabitants; total destruction of personal effects: mattresses, habits, furniture and other objects are regularly found reduced to ashes. The phenomenon has taken a more dramatic turn, directly affecting people. Several young girls of the village were, according to their relatives, possessed by this spirit. They are victims of crises and disasters. This situation has forced them to abandon their studies, plunging their families into deep distress. Faced with the persistence of this collective nightmare, the population launches a solemn appeal for help. She implores the intervention of the administrative authorities, of people of good will and of the marabouts.
